Hello reader,
As usual, I've changed the publication deadlines a bit, and once again forgot about the swamps. There are many reasons for this, I hope you will understand and forgive me.
But at the same time, nothing particularly interesting happened during this time either. I can only note a positive moment that old friends from St. Petersburg were able to reach me, and we spent a lot of time walking both in the neighborhoods of Paris and its suburbs, and now we will talk about one of the cities just an hour and a half away by train. As you can see from the name, it's Provins
And what's more than nice - it's part of transportation zone 5, and if you have a pass - you can get there for free (well it won't count as a pass), and walk around. Trains run every hour from East Station, which generally leaves tons of time to plan your day and your activities. On the downside, I'll note that you probably shouldn't plan a trip for the whole day, because there's not much to do there, or we couldn't find anything to our liking
The main maximum tourist place is the old town, which is located on a hill, in which it is quite pleasant to walk, to go understandably worthwhile in the summer, as - as around still spread huge fields, the view of which is broken from the fortress walls, which can be climbed. It's funny, but most of the stores, souvenir stores and other stuff open after 14, which was a surprise for us.
But come on, we didn't come here for souvenirs, but for photos and impressions
If you step outside the city gates, and walk up the road a bit - there is a fantastic view of the old town, the towers and the college for you
But after walking around from about 10 am to 13 am, we looked around the old town and went for a walk in the fields, which, as I said before, firstly allow you to look at the city from the other side, and secondly - in themselves are damn beautiful. As a bonus, we were lucky with the weather, the initially bright sunny day was slightly covered with clouds, which led to a much more pleasant light and color for photography (Although I still ruled the colors later to give more depth)
Looking at this shot, Hans Zimmer's “Now We Are Free” by Lisa Gerrard from the movie Gladiator starts playing in my head (I recommend both viewing and listening)
Maximus says it near the beginning of Gladiator:
"What we do in life, echoes in eternity"
And I have to show you a couple of cool shots of Darina that we took in the fields just outside of town -
That was the trip, lastly I will say that look for food outside the old town, otherwise the price tag for lunch will surprise you unpleasantly
See you soon !
