It's been three weeks since I published my last post. There are many reasons for this - one of which is that I've been sick and then sick again
Oh, and now we're in the off-season, with rain, snow, and other vagaries. So it's been a long time without pictures. I have to correct myself, because no matter what I write about weather and other things - I have accumulated quite a lot of pictures during these weeks, which were not published
I guess there will be actually two posts today, the first one is about birds and the second one - which will be available only to registered users - is about news and it will be a bit more personal, with some stories about the changes in my life, well, and stuff in general. I suspect that it will be the same - posts with photos will remain public (Not counting those with 18+ content) and all other posts will go under registration
On top of all this, I'm jokingly thinking about monetization, even though I don't have many subscribers on the site yet. But maybe someone would like to support me with a penny
In general, almost the entire month was devoted to hunting kingfishers that had been spotted on our lake and were kind of going to nest there. But except for that one time, and one conversation with a photographer who also came for them, I never managed to catch them.
What is sad, but a good friend of mine threw down a location, which is not very far from Paris, where they nest along the river bank. So it makes sense to go there rather than catch them here
Now it is necessary to be cautious about any shooting of birds, because spring is coming, which means that it is time for them to nest, and now they will first of all start to look for nesting places, and secondly they will start to build and incubate them. Last year I already watched a couple of ducks breeding close to home, so I can say for sure that this year I will continue this story
Friends still call to go to the marshes, in the bird sanctuary, but here I definitely will not go before March (Spoiler - March next week already).
Well, I have to whine, don't I? Anyway, the point is that I'm missing my zoo of lenses right now. Not that it's a disaster, but as usual you want to go faster, higher, stronger, or what was it?
Nikon in this case certainly distinguished itself, as the lens that I want because of its pleasant characteristics and no less pleasant price can not be found in free sale. The main problem - when I had the money - it was out of stock
Anyway, it's a story about either having money or not having money, but the right thing on the store shelves. However, now I'm in a situation where I don't have either the money or the lens I need. Not a reason to despair, maybe the situation will be corrected by my birthday. Although as it usually happens in adulthood - I am not sure of anything
Somehow, as the number of shoots grows, so do the demands on the quality and quantity of photographic equipment available, and the problem is, I can't keep up with it all. On the other hand, continuing to look towards portrait photography, I can say that most likely I will have to get all the necessary equipment there as well. For example, recently it became clear that I need light at home, at least a couple of sources. The good thing is that in the modern world there are available excellent LEDs, which are not only compact compared to pulse sources, but also not expensive
Okay, like any photographer I can whine endlessly about the lack of lenses, cameras and such because the process is continuous. All in all, I'm happy with everything so far, but I need a lens =)
See you soon!
