As I wrote in my previous article - I'm still waiting for the little swans to show up. For now, the nest remains with the mom sitting there. It's a bit sad, but I don't see the father around. In the first time he was irresistibly near the nest, but now he is not visible. I am worried that he might have been injured by the fall of the tree that is still lying there. And the weather has been cold for a week now. Waiting, I hope that I will be able to shoot the swan and its offspring, because now I go there almost every day

In general the weather is really unusually cold for April, in previous years as I remember it was much warmer. Well, it actually gives me hope that the summer will be cool, not +45 in the city as it was last year

But suddenly today I met a hedgehog in the forest, who was running somewhere thoughtfully on his hedgehog business

Otherwise, everything is green, pleasant, and lots of birds, which as usual are very good to hear but very bad to see. The dense foliage adds to the difficulty of observation. Really want a new lens that will give more possibilities, but until I can find a job, a new optic remains only my wish, not a possibility

Yes and now summer is coming, and as usual I feel less and less like shooting animals and more and more like shooting people. Nothing new for this time of year, it's just a funny seasonality for me. By the way, I should tell you more about the trip to the marshes, but suddenly there are no marshes, no birds, and a lot of frog photos (God, how loud can hundreds of toads yell in one place). So there will be a separate post about that a little later, most likely on Wednesday (If you know what I mean)

By the way, I became a member of https://www.lpo.fr last week, I don't really know what I get out of it yet, but the guys are fighting for the protection of birds and animals, which I am very impressed with and is in line with my values. I am now waiting for my membership card. And by the way, they have an announcement on their website for bird photos, 4th edition (Apparently they are collecting a book), I feel that I should participate. And I mostly shoot now more for the site (and in the desk), maybe it's time to start working on the name and how - that to get out of my history in that I shoot that I shoot, I shoot a lot, and according to most people quite cool, but here with the publicity that I certainly have problems. However, I don't really aspire to it

The three photos above, contain an entertaining story of a crow trying to take away from a heron her dinner, a large crayfish she had caught from a lake nearby in the woods. As a spoiler, the crow remained hungry, because it did not manage to take away the crayfish, as well as I did not manage to film their battle for it. On the other hand, it's hard to call it a glorious battle, it just flew around, trying to catch the moment when it could try to snatch the prey. It failed

And that's all for today, lastly I'll leave you with a portrait of a Mandarin Duck, a male sitting in a tree in the evening thinking about something of his own

I left the subscription form above in the post, there's still a reason I plugged in comments and that's about it.

See you soon!
