![Eurasian Wren](/content/images/size/w1200/2024/02/DSC_7765.jpg)
Today was a couple hours of free time between interviews. And since I didn't have to go to school (Yes, I'm still learning French five days a week), a walk in the woods seemed like a sensible idea. Except for the fact that I had decided not to eat lunch for this, but I could eat after the second one, couldn't I?
Anyway, the walk took place, and quite successfully. Except for the rain, which came from time to time, but when has it ever stopped people like me?
And so, as a result, I present to you the inhabitant of our (and yours, you just don't notice it) bushes, Eurasian Wren, a small, brown bird, which is barely the size of a 2 euro coin (2 rubles for my Russian readers, they are approximately similar in size) and mostly, I am almost sure, you have heard it rather than seen it

Why? Because it has a truly tiny size, yet a very loud and distinctive singing. Most often, you hear it, but do not see it in the undergrowth, because it prefers to live there, and if you do not know, you can just think that it is a mouse crawling there
There is a place in our forest where the path is about a meter lower than the level of the lawn above it, and you can directly observe the undergrowth that is a little higher up the slope
That's where I noticed it
There is one big problem for photographing this bird, first of all the above mentioned size, second - there are still a lot of fallen yellow leaves on the ground, and taking into account the color of this bird - you have to strain your eyesight to see it. But in general - I was lucky, the only thing is that I had to stand still for about 20 minutes, so that it got used to my presence and then start to shoot it smoothly

You've been spotted!
Speaking of "noticed", had a funny story, usually when I'm shooting, people walking by can spot from the direction of my lens who or what I'm shooting. But here there was a mishap, a guy is standing in the rain, and his lens looks motionless right into the bush in front of him, in which for the first, second and probably even the third nothing happens, nothing at all. Which led me to a curious passerby, who did not hesitate to ask (and quite loudly) what I saw there
The bird, which I had diligently accustomed to my presence and the noise of the camera shutter from the speech instantly evaporated, hiding in the foliage

I admittedly wanted to vaporize the passerby at that moment too, perhaps I managed to convey that in a look. Because the whole shoot just went off the rails.
Okay, uh. I did manage to get the shots you're looking at now, and I think it was worth a couple hours in the rain. So just enjoy the pictures, look around more and we'll be in touch!
