It's been a long time, folks.

In a nutshell, from the latest news. Before Christmas, I was thoroughly ruined by what the doctors now call "swine flu". (I'm writing these words and I'll be honest, I remember writing a similar thing about covid).

So now I'm still in a recovery period, but it's better. Of course it's only a matter of time before my cough is over, and then I'll be top.

So the year didn't get off to a very good start.

But in any case, we continue our series on the birds of the Bois de Boulogne.

My best shot of the day, not counting the title photo. Eating Herons. Quite interesting to watch from the bushes as he dives swiftly with his beak and then swallows his prey.

By the way, if you look closely, you can see the thickening on his neck, in fact, on it you can understand that this is the second fish that he eats.

In general, caught at lunch.

A tit and a chaffinch, there is nothing much to tell, they just sit there, the chaffinch was jumping on the wall.

I'll probably have to write an article soon on how to train your spotting skills so you can spot small birds with your peripheral vision.

This is how he dries his wings after fishing. When hunting, they dive, and then they come ashore and sit with their wings spread to dry.

From the side looks a little threatening, because the bird itself is not small, and the wingspan, well, probably about a meter.

But most of the time he does not care about people.

Another photo of Heron. What am I going to do if they are the main inhabitants of the forest here. Or I have the best luck with them, I don't know which is more true.

On the other hand, herons in this park are more accustomed to people, so they let me get closer to them, and I manage to photograph them much better.

The last two for today.
The bottom photo is what I was talking about, cormorant during the hunt (Successful for him), just after that, you can quite often see them drying their wings.

Okay, that's it, next weekend we're going to have a little photo party in Paris, we'll walk and socialize. And then I will go to Normandy, but it will be quite near the end of the month, so don't expect stories from me soon.

Anyway, stay in touch!

And don't get sick. Such a treat.
