Bonne journée, mes amis!
A week ago I promised you a post about my trip to Normandy, in the glorious city of Fécamp.
Spoiler alert for the impatient, I didn't make it. You may disperse, you have been tricked. Just kidding, I'll tell you all about it.
Saturday morning started at about 4:00 a.m., and as they say, it didn't look like anything was coming.
After seeing my wife off to the subway and returning home for her things, I headed off on my own toward the bus station.
My bus was to leave at 8.20 am, so I slowly made my way to the bus station, found the platform I needed, and waited.
At 20 minutes the bus was gone.
At 30 minutes the situation had not changed.
After 45 minutes, the schedule board showed a sign next to the route - delayed.
After wandering around the platform for about an hour, I heard the quite disgruntled exclamations of my fellow passengers, who, like me, were stomping around the scoreboard with the schedule. After that, everyone quickly left the platform. I thought my bus was served, but on a different platform. Yeah, your bus was canceled, the message from the bus company said.
Well, fuck off now, I said.
The kind letter said that I could change my tickets for the next bus completely free of charge. No tickets were available for the next bus that day. And even to a couple of neighboring towns. A quick google showed that technically I could take the commuter trains, and all-together with three transfers be there around 8 pm, but the problem was that I planned to be there at 11 and shoot all day, sleep in a hotel, and shoot another day before the bus back.
It seems to me that the hotel where I booked my room for the night clearly knew something about these buses. Because they were offering free cancellations until 6pm the same day.
I had to use it.
So after sleeping off Saturday afternoon, it was decided to go out on Sunday to take pictures of birds. Especially since the weather was sunny in the morning. However, as soon as I left the house, the action of this pleasure ended and everything was covered with clouds again.

So here is the Eurasian Kestrel
A very cute Predator, which suddenly lives in our woods
I also met a kingfisher, but I did not manage to shoot it, because when it saw me it flew very briskly 40 meters up the river and hidden in the grass
I did not pursue and disturb him anymore, but I remembered the place where he lived, I will be able to go there next weekend

With that, I bid you good-bye, and I'll see you soon
